Yay back to Argentina! Very exciting! We arrived in Salta, which is in northern Argentina, about midnight and the first thing we did was get ice cream. This was the main reason I was excited about getting back to Argentina...the amazing ice cream. We ate a quarter of a kilo that night, again for breakfast the next day, and after dinner that evening. Oh and every day for the 6 days we were around Salta. Whoops. But its SOOOO good. (Thats the´getting fat´bit)
It was Chris´birthday while we were in Salta so we decided to splash out and not spend the normal $15 on a hostel room but have a couple of nights in a REALLY nice hostel. We found the perfect place and moved in..the room was huge, the bathroom was lovely, the breakfast was massive (fresh fruit, pancakes and all the pastries and bread you ever need) and there was a huge TV in the room! We loved it!! We definitely made the most of the room watching lots of films and drinking lots of wine. We ventured out a few times though..mainly to get ice cream, oh and we went paragliding on Chris´birthday-wicked fun! And we celebrated Chris reaching the old age of 26 that evening with a huge parilla steak feast and more wine.
Salta was great fun...paragliding, ice cream, cake, cheap wine, lots of films and a great hostel..oh and we walked up a big hill on the last day (after deciding we are just too lazy and I was getting REALLY quite fat now) which gave us fab views of the lovely city. We were sad to leave but I HAD to leave or I would actually be the size of a house right now. I have since had no ice cream, been for 3 runs and am doing 100 sit ups every day. Ahhh. I really miss the ice cream.
